Measuring approximately 14 inches deep, 5 inches wide, and 11 inches tall, the Nespresso CitiZ C110 Espresso Maker is a compact machine with a small footprint. This makes it ideal for small kitchens and even dorm rooms.

Notwithstanding its small size, the C110 CitiZ possesses certain high-tech features that make it a great espresso maker. It is designed to brew a single cup of espresso or lungo using Nespresso's proprietary Grand Cru coffees contained in a special capsule. The pairing of the two results in the optimal extraction of the flavor and aroma of the coffee grounds that are hermetically sealed in the capsule.

When the coffee capsule in inserted into the machine and its lid is closed, the capsule's top and bottom are perforated by a number of nozzles. Those from the top spray the coffee grounds with hot water, while those on the bottom allow the coffee to drip out of the capsule and into the a waiting cup or mug below the spout. To ensure a thick golden brown crema that defines a great-tasting and smelling espresso, water is sprayed by a pump at 19-bar of pressure.

Brewing with the CitiZ C110 is easy. Once you have the coffee capsule in the machine and filled the 1-liter water tank, all you need to do is hit the power switch on the left side of the espresso maker and choose between the espresso or lungo buttons mounted at the top.

The tray on which your cup or mug sits while waiting for the espresso to flow is adjustable, enabling you to raise it when it is holding a cup and lower it to accommodate a tall mug. In this way, dripping coffee is not splattered all over your kitchen counter.

You do not need to remove used coffee capsules immediately after brewing. The machine has an internal container into which up to 11 used capsules can be collected before you need to dispose of them. This allows you to enjoy your espresso, or if you have a separate frother, cappuccino, macchiato, or latte without worrying about waste disposal.
