Some people are just not morning persons. They go through their first chores of the morning in a stupor and thus expose themselves to the risk of grinding their fingers instead of their coffee beans. There is, of course, an easier way for them to brew their coffee that will jolt them out of their sleep —a Mr. Coffee BVMC-KG1 Single Serve Brewing System.
Mr. Coffee partnered with Keurig, Inc. and crafted their own coffee maker designed to brew the latter's K-Cups. These are plastic cups containing coffee grounds that were immediately sealed right after grinding. The seals are airtight preventing the oxidation of the grounds thus preserving their aroma and taste. The grounds are wrapped in a paper filter inside the cup eliminating the need for either paper or permanent filters in the brew basket. These are pre-measured by coffee experts and ground just at the right texture.
The coffee maker brews 8 ounces of coffee for each K-Cup. It is inserted into the brew basket at the front of the machine where there are two needles, one at the top and another at the bottom. These puncture the K-Cup. The upper needle pours hot water over the grounds while the bottom drains the coffee into a cup through the spout. Water is poured into the machine through the top. Its lid is opened by depressing the water marking button.
After pushing the "Brew Now" button, a red lamp labeled "Heating" turns on. When the water reaches its brewing temperature, the red light switches itself off, and the green light below it comes alive. It is labeled "Brewing".
Coffee drips into a waiting cup below the spout. It stands on a drip tray that can be removed for ease of cleaning. In about a minute, you can enjoy your coffee and really wake up to a new day. You won't even have to turn the machine off. It will do that by itself.
